2.1 thx speakers to a Plasma TV?

Can my logitech 2.1 speakers connect to my plasma TV? I bought a Y adapter and I have a HD Dishnetwork Reciever model vip622. Do I just plug my speakers into the reciever or into the TV?? I want to be able to control the volume from the dish remote and it will come out my 2.1 speakers. They are logitech z2300 THX certified speakers. I have the Y adapter and RCA cables. Can someone let me where I connect what to??? THese speakers are made for your PC but I know somehow it will work with a TV. Just not sure where to plug the RCA jacks into.
