I’m not smart with computers so I need help choosing. This is between HP and Dell. I read somewhere that more people have Dell. Right now I’m on HP.

I’m a gamer and it seems like Dell’s graphics card IS better but the components make it more expensive but not by a lot. So which is better?

Are there any sound docks that CONTROL the ipod?

I’ve bought myself a logitech dock which only controls as far as the volume on my ipod … I just want to know if there are any sounddocks available that you can sift through songs and playlist etc from a remote? Basically something that controls the ipod instead of me manually doing it?

And if so, are there any highly recommended ones??

DSR-505 Satellite Receiver, Can the included remote be programed to control my tv?

Hi, I’m using a Shaw direct DSR505 receiver. I hate having two remotes, one to watch TV and one to change the volume. Is there a way to program my tv info into this remote so I don’t have to have two?

I already have a harmony remote which I can’t stand to use anymore now that I have this RF remote.
I answered my own question. If anyone else needs to know this, the directions on shaws website were totatly wrong.

I held the enter and mute button until all lights were flashing, then hold the up arrow until your tv turns off. Press enter do save your code.

This is the Logitech Harmony 555 universal remote control. You can use it to control pretty much anything with an infra-red receiver. The computer software that comes with the remote includes a huge amount of appliances built all ready into the database. And any buttons which are not physically on the remote appear on the built-in backlit LCD display. Genius.

I have a excellent hometheater setup and recently purchased a harmony remote and noticed that it could control lights, what model or type of switch should i buy so that i can control my lights using my remote.

I’m debating whether buy a Logitech Harmony 1000 or the Phillips Pronto TSU9600. I know the Harmony its a lot easier to program, but I’m not really concern about this.

“Switcher” or “Remote Control” ? Which makes more sense?

My girlfriend calls my Harmony Remoter the “switcher” all the time. When she says that, it reminds of those old school remotes for old TVs that had a clicking sound and that triggered a change on the TV.

I tell her “switcher” doesn’t make sense with today’s remotes, but she stands by it. Does she need to change her ways as I think she does?
