I have a memorex mldt3222 lcd tv and a logitech z5500 surround sound. The remotes conflict, is there a fix?

The remotes for each system control functions that make operating both at the same time via remote impossible. Is there any way to change the remote frequency for either component? Also I know a universal remote won’t work I tried it already.

There would be no way to reprogram the devices IR codes. Well there would be a way but it would require Logitech or Memorex to give you a new TV or set of Speakers custom designed for you (don’t hold your breath).
You could either try placing the Logitech’s remote sensor where it’s not inline with the TV’s or take the TV or speakers back and get different ones.
