Well the Yamaha RX-V465 is twice the cost of the Sony STR-DG520 ($300 compared to $150). So yes, the Yamaha receiver will sound much, much better, and it does have more power (105 watts per channel compared to 90 watts per channel).

im thinking of getting the yamaha 465, do you think it is better (more power, better sound) than the sony sr dg520? im gonna use it for tv. dvd, and music.

I plan on making a video of my system after the new year. I hope to have a new subwoofer by then. But, I might make a quick video of what I have now. Stay tuned. . . .
