Logitech has announced the launchof the Logitech Harmony Adapter for PLAYSTATION 3. This new device gives you the power to control your home entertainment system including the PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3) – with your Harmony 1100 remote control. More and more people are using their PS3 to watch movies on DVDs and Blu-Ray Discs. It is this group which demanded a remote to control devices in its centralized console. Logitech Harmony Adapter for PlayStation3 uses infrared (IR) from the Harmony remote control and transmitting a signal wirelessly to Bluetooth PS3 handle – so that one remote to control all the entertainment.
Logitech’s new adapter can be used on all the 51 controls of the PS3 and allows to launch or switch off the console, besides giving absolute control over the DVD, movies on Blu-ray Disc or browsing through the Internet based on XrossMediaBar ( XMB) PS3.
The Logitech Harmony for PLAYSTATION 3 Adapter works with all Logitech Harmony models. The wireless connection does not require the USB ports on PlayStation3, so they remain available for other applications.
